I'll be hosting my second annual "How to be an amateur voice actor" panel at Anime Milwaukee 2013! I'll cover all the basics from finding the right microphone, to advertising yourself on the internet. I also discuss the struggles of being an amateur internet voice actor. If your in the Milwaukee area come to Anime Milwaukee 2013 February 15th-17th and see my panel on the 16th at 5:30-6:30. Any and all questions will be answered.

Check out the official anime Milwaukee page here

Hope to see you there!

So after a bit of hiatus due to my microphone hating me and not wanting to work I'm starting to continue on voice projects! Oh and Newgrounds now has a nifty new link to become a fan of mine! So be sure to share this link to all your friends/family/enemies to promote my work! Oh and here's the link to copy and paste http://linktube.newgrounds.com/follow

Practice. With any sort of skill or trade practice is needed. I'm thinking I need some serious voice over practice. Not because I see myself as a horrid voice artist but because I know I can always be better. As long as I'm alive I may as well make something of myself right?

I do a lot of work. With every voice job I do I have a pretty good amount of confidence in what I'm doing. I know I'm not the very best voice over artist in the world but I also know I'm not the worst. Generally the response I get from projects is a very positive encouraging one. People seem to like my work! But what really grinds my gears is when people leave comments such as "The voices where terrible" and give NO reason as to why. I can take criticism but at least let me learn. Give me the fair chance to hear why you had that opinion. I mean I do understand that some people just love to hate and are going to rage for the sake of raging. People frustrate me. If your going to hide behind the shroud of anonymity that is the internet at least have the guts to tell me why you don't like me. Am I right? People. If you come on here and don't like my work PLEASE leave a comment telling me why! I love to improve and if you can be a mature person about it and tell me how my work sucks in a non destructive respectable manner, there's no problem.

Terrible Voice Acting

Seriously guys, do something you love or you will resent your life. I flippin LOVE doing voice acing! It's extremely rewarding to see a project come out and be able to watch it flourish and to know that you where a part of it...feels awesome. I can't imaging spending the rest of my life doing something that makes me so unhappy and unappreciated. With voice over I have my business side where I have to hash out all the technical stuff and how lines are labeled and sorted but it also has the fantastic artsy part where you can just sit in your recording studio for hours letting your creativity just escape the floodgates. I always walk out of a recording session with a good feeling, I hope this never goes away. Find something you can walk away from at the end of the day with a good feeling in your gut. Trust me =D

Here is another picture of mine to keep you interested

Do what you love

I was just thinking today how fortunate I have been to work with so many awesome animators and how awesome voice acting has been to me. I have been doing some more work recently so look forward to new stuff in a couple weeks!
